Allen Bradley Level 1
Introduction to PLC and Ladder Logic
For students to maximize the benefits of this course, we recommend attendees have:
· Basic electrical or electronics knowledge
· Basic understanding or exposure to PLC’s
In this this course, the students will learn the basics of bit level ladder logic, as well as timers and counters, compares and AOIs. Students will learn ControlLogix hardware components, configuration and testing of hardware components to verify root cause when troubleshooting. Each student will have their own laptop, with two people connecting to each training system. This course also covers basic connectivity, communications and functionality of the HMI since the HMI is also used as part of the system and for troubleshooting as well. Throughout the course, students will work with existing Studio 5000 projects, learning to use the controller organizer to navigate and use the software and search tools to troubleshoot effectively.
